Less than four months until the opening of the nineteenth World Cup organized from FIFA. In 2010, the biggest football forum will be held in South Africa.

The official start of the event is the 11th June with a match between host South Africa and Mexico. The championship lasts exactly one month - the final is on 11 July. In this period will be played a total of 64 games, hopefully very interesting and intense.

32 teams from 6 different continents, have qualified for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. This is the first World Cup, in which with no debutant associations. The teams are divided into eight groups. The games will be played in nine different cities.

In contrast to the European Championship, now there are 5 stages - group stage, first knockout round, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

The official mascot of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Zakumi - leopard with green hair. Its name comes from the "Za" - the abbreviation for South Africa and "kumi", a word that means "10" in various African languages.
